Build Storage Bed With Drawers

To build the drawers i ripped 1 2 plywood down into 8 1 2 wide strips then cut the pieces down to size on my miter saw.

Materials 7 pieces of 3 4 plywood 4 x8 3 pieces of 2 4 lumber 8 4 pieces of 1 2 lumber 8 3 pieces of 1 3 lumber 8 6 pieces of drawer pulls 6 drawer slides 500 pieces of 1 1 4 screws 100 pieces of 2 1 2 screws 500 pieces of 1 1 4 brad nails glue stain mattress. The islais upholstered platform storage bed is perfect for a small space because the drawers are only at the foot of the bed. These drawers have a 1 4 plywood bottom. I used my router to add a 1 4 dado groove to the drawer pieces then rounded off the top edges of the drawer pieces with a 1 8 router bit.

Use pieces of plywood as the drawer dividers attach on the top and bottom with pocket holes. The headboard and frame are gorgeous too and this comes in two colors and is just 325 for a queen. Insert 1 1 4 brad nails through the cleats into the slats and add glue to create rigid joints. Lay the slats on a level surface making sure you leave no gaps between the components.

Build the cleats out of 1 6 lumber and the panel slats out of 2 6 lumber. Next build the base of the bed the two boxes that hold the drawers. No trying to force open drawers at the side of the bed into a wall or other furniture.
